At Tonnage Calculator AC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you visit tonnagecalculatorac.com(the “Site”).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Calculator Inputs

When you use our AC tonnage calculator, you enter room dimensions, climate zone, occupancy, and other parameters. All calculations are performed entirely in your browser. This data is never transmitted to our servers, stored in any database, or shared with any third party. The optional ZIP code field described in section 1.2 is not a calculator input and is handled separately.

1.2 Optional ZIP Code Lookup

Pages that show a sponsored phone number also offer an optional ZIP code field. It is entirely optional, the phone number works without it, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you type a five-digit ZIP code. The lookup never runs on its own.

If you do enter one, that ZIP code alone is sent to Zippopotam.us, a free postal-code service, purely to look up the matching city and state. Nothing else about you or your visit is included, and your ZIP is not attached to any calculator result. As with any request your browser makes to another website, that service will see your IP address; its own privacy practices apply to what it does with it.

We do not send your ZIP code to our own servers and we do not store it in any database. It is kept in your browser's session storage so the page stays personalized while you move around the Site, and it is discarded when you close the tab. Clearing the field removes it immediately.

1.3 Automatically Collected Data

Like most websites, we may automatically collect certain technical information when you visit the Site, including:

• IP address (anonymized where possible)
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Pages visited and time spent
• Referring URL

This information is collected through standard web analytics tools and is used solely to understand how visitors use our Site and to improve the user experience. Our advertising provider also collects similar technical information directly, through its own scripts, in order to serve and measure ads. That is described in section 4.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Site
• Analyze usage trends to improve our calculator and content
• Ensure the security and integrity of the Site
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. The advertising on this Site is served by Mediavine, which collects data directly through its own cookies and may share or sell it to its advertising partners. That is explained in section 4 and in the Mediavine Advertising Privacy Notice at the end of this policy.

3. Cookies & Consent

We use cookies to ensure our Site works properly and to measure how it is used. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are presented with a cookie consent banner on their first visit and are not tracked at all until they select “Accept All”. Elsewhere no banner appears on its own: analytics runs by default, and choosing “Reject” under the Cookie Preferences link in the footer switches it off; we also honor the Global Privacy Control signal if your browser sends one. The same choice sets the signal we send to Google about advertising: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland it allows advertising cookies and personalized ads only after “Accept All”, and elsewhere it allows them by default until you choose “Reject” or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. 4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

We work with a small number of third parties. The first two set cookies or similar technologies on this Site:

• Google Analytics: Helps us understand how visitors use the Site. When analytics is switched off (either because you rejected it, or because you are in a region where we require opt-in and you have not opted in), Google Analytics sets no cookies and receives only anonymous, cookieless signals that cannot identify you.
• Microsoft Clarity: We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use the Site through heatmaps and session replays, which capture clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Text typed into a field is masked. Clarity follows your cookie choice in the same way as Google Analytics: it does not load after you select Reject, and in regions where we require opt-in it does not load until you opt in. • Advertising: This Site displays advertisements served through Journey by Mediavine. Ads appear on our calculator and guide pages. They do not appear on this policy, the Cookie Policy, the Terms of Use, or the Contact page. When a page with ads loads, Mediavine and its advertising partners may set cookies and use similar technologies, and may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, general (not precise) location, and the pages you view. They use it to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and, where permitted, show ads based on your interests. These cookies are set by Mediavine and its partners, not by us. Our own cookie banner controls analytics and the advertising signal we send to Google, as described in section 3. For the rest of the advertising partners, Mediavine shows its own consent banner where the law requires one, and where required it adds an “Update Privacy Settings” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Information” link at the bottom of the page. • Sponsored phone number: Some pages show a phone number as a paid placement. Tapping it opens your device's dialer and sets no cookie; we do not see the number you call from and capture no personal details. If you have allowed analytics, we log an anonymous event that a call button was tapped, along with which page and placement it was on, so we can measure which pages produce calls. It never includes the number you dial or anything identifying you. If you place the call, our partner network routes it to an HVAC company, and that network receives your phone number along with whatever you choose to tell them, under their own privacy practices rather than this policy. We are paid for qualified calls. We are not an HVAC contractor and perform no work ourselves.
• Amazon Associates: Some pages include links to products on Amazon. We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program, and we earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. These links set no cookies on this Site and we receive no personal information about what you buy. Once you click through, you are on Amazon and Amazon's own privacy notice and cookies apply.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through our Site. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
